PRP Therapy for Joint Pain

How platelet-rich plasma (PRP) may help tendon and joint conditions.

PRP uses your own blood platelets, concentrated and injected into injured tissue to support healing. ## Indications Mild to moderate osteoarthritis, tendinopathy (tennis elbow, Achilles), and some cartilage conditions. ## What to expect The procedure is outpatient. Some soreness for 48 hours is normal. Benefits may appear over 4–8 weeks. ## Limitations PRP is not a substitute for surgery when structural damage requires repair.
